Our next project - Sutton Lane South

We are undertaking several different projects here. The first is to build a cover over the alleyway approx. 15 metres long. We have decided with the client to construct this from timber and cover the roof in felt. There will also be a row of spotlights to illuminate during the winter and night time.
The second part is to re-cover the an existing roof as the water is not running away into the guttering.
Next we will be building a metal frame, for the side return roof, to house 4 large pieces of glass . This will allow a much larger amount of light into the new kitchen which is being installed in the new year.

Completion

After fighting against the elements over the past few weeks we have managed to complete the exterior of Whellock Road.

I would like to thank Luma for her patience during a rather wet November.

One week to go!

The view from the bedroom looking out to the living area. This will be closed off by a solid wood door that is being made to match the existing front door.

The view into the kitchen dining room area.

These are the two banks of wardrobes in the bedroom.

The walls have been painted in Dulux white, the wardrobes built with sliding doors have been given a three coats of Farrow and Ball Pavilion Grey.
All that is left is to seal the maple floor, fit the bedroom door and install the stone onto the bathroom floor,

Chiswick Green Studios

Abode Renovations - Current project
CHISWICK GREEN STUDIOS

On 7th September we started converting this studio flat into a 1 bedroom apartment.
It is located in the beautiful Chiswick Green Studios on Evershed Walk. The building was a bomb making factory during the war and was converted around 1996 into flats.

This project will take under a month and will include;
  • sanding and sealing the maple floor
  • painting the all walls and ceilings throughout
  • building stud wall from MDF to house TV, sound system and sky box
  • building from MDF floor to ceiling wardrobes on bedroom side of stud wall
  • building from MDF extra storage on top of existing wardrobes along entire bedroom wall
  • installing Bose sound system
  • installing wireless controlled Sony Bravia TV
  • fitting new stone flooring in bathroom to match existing
As you can see from the pictures it is a good sized project which will keep us all very busy for 4 weeks.
